China-Australia Research Group Meeting – 2026

The inaugural China–Australia Glycogen Research Group meeting in Yangzhou was a major success, bringing together leading researchers to tackle some of the biggest unanswered questions surrounding glycogen structure and function.
Across a highly collaborative program, researchers shared new findings, challenged existing ideas and identified key experiments needed to unravel how glycogen’s complex structure influences health and disease.
The meeting has established a strong foundation for ongoing collaboration between Chinese and Australian researchers, with several new projects and research priorities already emerging. The group now hopes that many of the mysteries identified in Yangzhou will be answered by the time researchers reconvene for their next meeting.

Let’s meet up and talk all things glycogen!
The first ever Australian Glycogen Symposium is kicking off in 2023!

Glycogen researchers are welcomed to inquire about the first ever Australian Glycogen Symposium to be held at the Translational Research Instutute in Brisbane.
